  1. Click AdministrationDefaults > Notifications Templates.
  2. Click the tab for the template you want to edit.
  3. Make the changes as necessary. See Message variables below for a list of content you can add.
  4. To edit the HTML notification templates, click the Preview/Edit button located below the Message field, then click Save once you have made your changes. To edit the non-HTML notification templates, simply type within the Message field.

  5. Click Preview to see how the message will appear when sent.
  6. Click Save.

When MSP N-central sends a notification email, the content configured will appear in the message.

Message variables

Customer: {{CustomerName}} Device: {{DeviceName}} - {{DeviceURI}} Device Property: {{DeviceProperty(<custom device detail name>)}}

...appears in a message as...

Customer: CustomerXYZ Device: WebPresence - 192.168.1.3 Device Property: test

For numeric pagers, notifications using the {{NumericState}} variable will identify the state of the triggering device using the codes:

  • 000 = Stale Data
  • 100 = Normal
  • 200 = Warning
  • 300 = Failed
