Setting Up and Executing Advanced Scripts

The following feature is only available at the System or Product Administrator level. SO and Customer or Site level accounts cannot access this feature.

The Advanced Scripts option only appears if you have received scripts with your installation of MSP N-central and the scripts are accessible at your permission level.

MSP N-central allows you to execute scripts that modify the functionality of your central server. During a product installation or upgrade, these scripts are saved in a specific directory. When you sign into the MSP N-central Administrator Console (NAC) and click Advanced Scripts, MSP N-central reads this directory and lists the scripts available at your permission level. If a script requires any parameters to be set before execution, these are displayed next to the script name.

For information about the scripts that can be provided with MSP N-central, contact Technical Support.

To execute an advanced script

  1. On the Administrator Console menu bar, select Setup.
  2. Under the Advanced Scripts heading, click Advanced Scripts.

The Advanced Scripts screen appears and lists the scripts that are available for execution. The Command Line column lists any script parameters that need to be set before execution.

  3. If required, specify the parameters of the script that you want to execute.
  4. Click the Execute button that corresponds to the script that you would like to run and click OK.
