The N-central Administrator Console

The following feature is only available at the System or Product Administrator level. SO and Customer or Site level accounts cannot access this feature.

MSP N-central has two interfaces: the MSP N-central Administrator Console (NAC) and the UI. The NAC is used by the Product Administrator to set up and manage the central server settings. The MSP N-central UI is used by all accounts to monitor and manage customer IT network status.

When you sign in to the NAC, the Setup screen appears. The Setup menu lets you configure:

  • Central Server
  • Product Settings
  • Services
  • Tools
  • Database
  • SSL Certificate Management
  • Accounts
  • Advanced Scripts
  • Upgrade

The My Account menu lets you change your password or update your user profile. As you navigate the NAC, you can launch the online help using the Help menu, or you can click the Help icon on each screen for information about that specific topic.

You cannot use the following characters in any of the fields: $ # & < > % +

If you are using a Netscape browser, when setting your navigator preferences, do not select Never for the Compare the page in the cache to the page on the network option. Otherwise, any specifications you make to the MSP N-central fields will be registered to the database but will not appear on the screen.
