Domain User Management

The Domain User Management feature let you perform specific functions with domain user accounts.

For the Domain User Management feature to function properly, Agents must be installed on the domain controller for the target domains. A successful discover of the Active Directory server will automatically enable Domain User Management.

Functions that you can perform with Domain User Management include:

  • deleting domain user accounts
  • unlocking domain user accounts
  • enabling domain user accounts
  • disabling (but not deleting) domain user accounts
  • resetting domain user account passwords

Delete domain user accounts

  1. In the navigation pane, click Configuration > Security Manager > Domain User Management.
  2. In the Available Domains column, select a domain.
  3. When the list of user accounts for the selected domains is displayed, click the check box beside the account listing to select the accounts to be deleted and click Delete.

Unlock domain user accounts

  1. In the navigation pane, click Configuration > Security Manager > Domain User Management.
  2. In the Available Domains column, select a domain.
  3. When the list of user accounts for the selected domains is displayed, click the check box beside the account listing to select the accounts to be unlocked.
  4. Click Unlock and OK.

Enable domain user accounts

This feature is only available for domain user accounts with an Account Status of Disabled.

  1. In the navigation pane, click Configuration > Security Manager > Domain User Management.
  2. In the Available Domains column, select a domain.
  3. When the list of user accounts for the selected domains is displayed, click the check box beside the account listing to select the accounts to be enabled and click Enable.

Disable domain user accounts

This feature is only available for domain user accounts with an Account Status of Enabled.

  1. In the navigation pane, click Configuration > Security Manager > Domain User Management.
  2. In the Available Domains column, select a domain.
  3. When the list of user accounts for the selected domains is displayed, click the check box beside the account listing to select the accounts to be disabled.

Reset domain user account passwords

  1. In the navigation pane, click Configuration > Security Manager > Domain User Management.
  2. In the Available Domains column, select a domain.
  3. When the list of user accounts for the selected domains is displayed, select an account.
  4. Click Reset Password.
  5. Type a new Password. Type the new password a second time to confirm the characters used.
  6. You can select Show Password to have the new password displayed as unobscured text.
  7. Select User must change password at next log on to force a password reset the next time that they sign in.
  8. Select Unlock account to disable the security lock and allow the user to log on.
