Patch Installation Status Report

The Patch Installation Status report provides information on installed or missing patches on devices for all of your customers. The information in this report can be used for patch assessment, patch rollout planning, or detecting any malfunctioning patches that need to be removed.

This procedure can only be performed at the SO or Customer-level.

  1. In the navigation pane, click Reports > Status > Patch Installation Status.
  2. Select the time Period for which you would like to collect data for the report.
  3. Select the Start Date and Time from which to start collecting data for the report.
  4. Select the category by which to filter the Devices that will be included in the report from one of:
    • All Devices
    • Customer/Site
    • Filter
    • Device Class
    • Device Name
    • Operating System
  5. Once you have selected a category, click > to move the item to the right-hand column in order to include it in the filtering mechanism.

    Click >> to move all of the items from the left column to the right or << to move all of the items from the right column to the left.

  6. Under Patch Filter, select filtering criteria including:
    1. For Classification, select the categories of patches to be included in the report from the following:
      • 3rd Party
      • Critical Updates
      • Definition Updates
      • Drivers
      • Feature Packs
      • Security Updates
      • Service Packs
      • Tools
      • Unknown
      • Update Rollups
      • Updates
    2. Select Patch Title/Knowledge Base ID to type the name or the knowledge base identifier of a patch that will be included in the report.
    3. Under Status, select the status criteria for patches from the following:
      • Aborted
      • Declined
      • Failed
      • In Progress
      • Installed
      • Installed With Errors
      • Needed Unapproved
      • Not Installed
  7. Select Include only patches missing for more than <x> days to add an age criteria by which missing patches will be filtered from the report.

    Selecting this option requires that you type a value for the number of days in which patches have been missed.

  8. Click View Report.

    The Patch Installation Status report appears.

You can e-mail or export the report as a comma-separated values (CSV) or PDF file.
