Remote Control Summary Report

This report provides a detailed list of Remote Desktop Support and managed device remote control sessions. It identifies when the sessions took place and how long the technicians were connected to the monitored environment remotely within the requested time period.

This report provides a detailed list of a service provider's remote access into monitored networks. By tracking remote access details, it helps to document provider's activity based on multiple filtering options such as session type, customer, or technician.

This procedure can only be performed at the SO or Customer-level.

  1. In the navigation pane, click Reports > Status>Remote Control Summary.
  2. Configure the settings for the report from the following:
    Report PropertyDetails

    Period

    The time period for which to collect data for the report.

    Start Date and Time

    The initial date and time from which to begin collecting data for the report.

    Session Type

    The type of remote access session to be included in the report from one of the following:

    • Remote Desktop Support Sessions
    • Managed Devices Remote Control Sessions
    • All Sessions

    If there are no devices available to which remote access sessions have been made, only Remote Desktop Support Sessions can be included in the report.

    Connection Type

    Filters the remote access sessions to be included in the report based on one or more of the following connection types:

    • Generic
    • SSH
    • Telnet
    • Terminal Services
    • VNC
    • Web Page

    Filter by Customer

    Filters the remote access sessions to be included in the report based on the customers involved in the sessions.

    Filter by Technician

    Filters the remote access sessions to be included in the report based on the technicians involved in the sessions.

    Managed Device Sessions Filter

    Filters the Managed Devices Remote Control Sessions that are included in the report based upon one of the following criteria:

    • Folder
    • Device Class
    • Device Name
  3. For filter criteria, click > to move the criteria to the right-hand column.

    Click >> to move all of the items from the left column to the right or << to move all of the items from the right column to the left.

  4. Click View Report.

    The Remote Control Summary Report is displayed.

You can download or e-mail the report as a comma-separated values (CSV) file.
