Adding, Editing, and Cloning Rules

This procedure can only be performed at the SO or Customer-level.

Add a Rule

  1. In the navigation pane, click Configuration > MonitoringRules.
  2. Click Add in the Rules screen.
  3. Configure the properties of the new Rule and click Save.

Edit a Rule

You can edit all the details of any Rule you create or to which you have permission. For public Rules created by others, you can edit the dashboards on which the Rule appears and the associated notification profile-triggers.

  1. In the navigation pane, click Configuration > MonitoringRules.
  2. In the Name column of the Rules screen, click the Rule that you would like to edit.
  3. In the Edit Rule screen, modify the properties as required and click Save.

Clone a Rule

To quickly create a new Rule based on the properties of an existing Rule, you can create a "clone".

  1. In the navigation pane, click Configuration > MonitoringRules.
  2. In the Clone column of the Rules screen, click Clone beside the name of the Rule that you would like to duplicate.
  3. In the Edit Rule screen, modify the properties as required. Be sure to use a unique name for the cloned rule.
  4. Click Save.
