Mapping Customers and Device Properties for Help Desk Manager

Mapping Customers

If you don't have any customers in Help Desk Manager, you have the option to push MSP N-central customers to Help Desk Manager. This will map the N-central customers to new customers in Help Desk Manager. If you already have customers in Help Desk Manager, you can map MSP N-central customers to those.

To create new customers in Help Desk Manager

  1. In the navigation pane, click Administration > PSA Integration > Mapping - Customers.
  2. To create new customers in Help Desk Manager for one or more N-central customers. (To map all customers, skip to To create new customers in Help Desk Manager for all N-central customers on this screen:Select the checkbox in the top left of the table to select every N-central Customeron the screen.Click the button, Set Help Desk Manager Customer to 'Create New'.):
    1. For each N-central Customer, in the Help Desk Manager Customer drop-down menu, select Create New.
  3. To create new customers in Help Desk Manager for all N-central customers on this screen:
    1. Select the checkbox in the top left of the table to select every N-central Customeron the screen.
    2. Click the button, Set Help Desk Manager Customer to 'Create New'.
  4. Click Save.

    The selected MSP N-central customers are pushed to Help Desk Manager and the mappings are created.

To map to existing customers in Help Desk Manager

  1. For an existing configuration, for each N-central Customer you would like to map, select the Help Desk Manager Customer to which you would like to map it.
  2. Click Save.

Mapping Custom Device Properties

If any of the devices that you manage through MSP N-central have custom device properties, you need to map these custom device properties to Device Custom Fields in Help Desk Manager. These customer device properties will be pushed out and added onto any devices that get exported.

You can leave custom devices unmapped if you do not want to include them in Help Desk Manager.

  1. In the navigation pane, click Administration > PSA Integration > Mapping - Custom Device Properties.
  2. For each MSP N-central Custom Device Property, select the Help Desk Manager Device Custom Field to which it will be mapped.
  3. Click Save.
