Overview

This Automation Policy will send a Wake on LAN special packet to power on the remote device, wait the specified amount of seconds, and ping remote device to test if remote device power on was successful.

Input Parameters

MAC Address: <string value> 00-00-00-00-00-00 or 00:00:00:00:00:00

Test Connectivity to IP Address: <string value> 1.1.1.1

Automation Policy

Outcome

Device specified by its MAC address is powered on as a result of receiving MAGIC PACKET.

Connectivity to device is verified with ping program. If, after the selected wait time (60 seconds in the example shown above), there is no response from the ping, the device is not reachable and the policy will fail. The Wake on Lan option has to be enabled on the device for the policy to run.
