Overview

This Automation Policy will execute regular maintenance on a Windows device. This Windows device regular maintenance includes:

  • Amount of free disk space will be retrieved before and after regular maintenance is executed to measure amount of disk space reclaimed from conducting regular maintenance.
  • A logged on user will be prompted to allow or prevent regular maintenance from being conducted.
  • This Automation Policy has nested the Device Maintenance policy
  • If there is no user logged on, regular maintenance is executed.

This Automation Policy includes default user prompt text to direct user to choose OK to allow regular maintenance or choose Cancel to prevent regular maintenance.

Default User Prompt

Prompt Title Bar: Regular Maintenance is about to be conducted on this device.

Prompt Body: Click OK to allow or Cancel to postpone device maintenance.

Automation Policy

Outcome

User is prompted to allow or prevent the execution of the Device Maintenance nested policy. If no user is logged on, Device Maintenance nested policy is executed.
